Can you diagnose warning lights?
Yes. Freddy's Auto Care scans every control module on the vehicle, reviews live and stored data, and tests the components and circuits involved to identify what has actually caused the light, rather than replacing the part a fault code happens to name.
Can I keep driving with the engine light on?
It depends on the light's behaviour. A steady engine light generally means a fault has been logged and should be read soon, but the vehicle is usually driveable. A flashing engine light typically indicates a misfire serious enough to damage the catalytic converter, and driving on it can turn an inexpensive repair into a very expensive one. Why did replacing the part the code named not fix it?
Because most fault codes describe a circuit or a reading, not a failed component. A code pointing at a sensor circuit can be caused by the sensor, its wiring or connector, or by an unrelated fault that puts the reading out of range, a vacuum leak or an exhaust leak, for example. Testing the circuit before replacing anything is what separates the two.
