Yes. The workshop services petrol, diesel, LPG and electric or hybrid vehicles. Each has its own servicing requirements, diesels have different filter and fluid intervals, and hybrids have high-voltage systems that need to be handled correctly. So bring the logbook and we will confirm what your vehicle is actually due for.

Yes. Freddy's Auto Care is a family-run workshop and customers deal directly with the owner rather than with a rotating service adviser. The person who explains the work is the person responsible for it, and it is the same person next time you come in, which means the conversation picks up where it left off instead of starting again.

Most useful of all is a clear description of what the car is doing and when, a noise that only happens cold, a light that only comes on after twenty minutes, a vibration that appears at a particular speed. Detail like that saves diagnostic time, and diagnostic time is what you pay for.

Quotes are vehicle-specific, the same job can differ substantially between two cars depending on access, parts and condition. So we quote on your vehicle rather than reading from a price list.

Sometimes, and we will if we honestly can. For straightforward, well-defined jobs on a known vehicle it is often possible to give a realistic figure over the phone. For anything diagnostic it is not: a description of a symptom can point at repairs an order of magnitude apart in cost, and a number given without seeing the car would be a guess dressed up as a quote. In that case we will tell you what it costs to find out, and what the likely outcomes are.
